This is the correct version of the Pond, the Single Shaft. It is not known how many Single Shafts were minted but it is a sought after Pond. There are not many high quality single shaft 1892 available.
Single Shaft Pond Forgeries
There does not seem to be a problem with forgeries except Double shafts have been changed to Single shafts and vice versa. It was thought earlier on that the Double shaft was the more rare.
