1895 Half Kruger Pond Single Shaft

The 1895 Half Pond
The 1895 Half Pond has the highest mintage of all Half Ponds. Despite this, it remains rare in uncirculated condition. The example below is an exceptional AU58 from the Stecher Collection. Scraper marks from the planchet preparation process are still visible.
1895 Half Pond Forgeries
There are no widespread reports of forgery for the 1895 Half Pond. However, many coins are ex-mount, having been used as jewelry.
